An alien research base has appeared in the forest. Lights mark its perimeter. Seats and tables, appropriate for humanoids, face a glowing monolith at the far end.

A 10’ cube, rooted. Three sides covered in alien writing. The fourth glows with slow, mesmerizing, morphing shapes. A low throbbing sound comes from inside. Two control pedestals stand a few feet out, crowded with luminous unlabeled knobs.
