A strange 10-foot cubic artifact appears to have been left on the playa. Yellow alien script shines against the deep blue exterior, while the front face glows with mesmerizing, twisting forms synced to a dynamic soundscape.

Facing the screen, two control pedestals each feature 16 luminous, unlabeled knobs. Twist a knob, the artifact responds instantly — the visuals warp, color shifts, and the audio soundscape evolves in perfect sync. The system is designed for collaboration; the most complex and rewarding outputs occur when two people play simultaneously.

Look long enough, and you see it. Once seen, you cannot unsee the heart of the mystery. Sit and see the core. Twist and see the breadth. Both are real; they cost each other.

Side Quest

The knobs are a trap. Etched into the control pedestals are three cryptic questions challenging participants to decode the alien script and understand what lies below the surface.

New Series

This is the first of a new series based on projecting images instead of using mirrors. Also, lightweight, smaller to transport, and easier to set up makes it more practical to bring to more venues.
